![]() There's a few different potential solutions to the above problem. That's a lot (but it would be reduced by 3-4x due to your XP multiplier). ![]() So, with your settings, a tamed dino mount would need to kill 2976 level 75 trikes or 397 level 75 rexes to get from domestic level 0 to domestic level 59 (i.e. Remember that mounts only get a 25% share of the XP of each kill. It's possible to work out how many kills you'd need for each level by looking at. But, as you've noticed, hunting only gives your tamed dinos good xp if you're hunting high level, high tier wild dinos (e.g. The situation is different for combat dinosaurs and regular mounts as these dinos are also getting XP from combat. So to get to level 59 on your server, it would take 25000/40 = 625 hours of logged in time (i.e. Divide the numbers in your list above by 40 XP to work out the number of hours. If I'm only playing two hours a day, then the dinos are levelling 8x slower than an online tribe when at least one person is logged in 16 hours a day!Īssuming gathering dinos are not involved in combat then it's easy to work out how long it will take them to get to level up. The problem with a private server is that you don't have tribe members logged in all day to be drip feeding your dinos XP (tamed dinos only get the drip when someone is logged on and in range). After experimenting overnight I think the 70x multiplier I had been using was too much. However, your 9x multiplier is probably more appropriate for a private server than x2 anyway. ![]() Also remember you need to have the player LevelExperienceRampOverrides set out first as the first instance in the ini will always adjust the player rather than the creatures. Since the "LevelExperienceRampOverrides" command assumes you're doing the latter, you have actually made it 9x quicker to level your tamed dinos, as opposed to the 2x you were trying to achieve. Looking at your ini code, I have just realised that you have divided the "XP per level" by 2, rather than the "cumulative XP". Look up a guide on how to add lines into your game.ini. Thanks for the help guys!įor those that are lazy and want to decrease the amount of required exp to level a dino, here is my exp chart. So I got into the files and used ark wiki, I decreased the amount of required exp for them to level up (basically the same as increasing their received exp by 100%), and now we can work towards taming and taking down new dinos! We lost many dinos and gained many more and we are new to ark, so we are still getting to the fact that losing a few dinos isn't a huge deal. In order to take down a level 50+ dino we kinda need a level 50ish dino to help so we can work towards getting those level 120 dinos and then making them even higher than that. Also we have some dinos we wanna level that cant be rode. They were around level 15 and we felt it was super slow. (We played like 2 days and only gained an overall level of +5 per dino. But I still wanted to increase the exp gained to level dinos up twice as fast. ![]() I totaly understand how the dino+exp+taming effectiveness works now. Thanks for reading and taking time out of your day. If someone could please explain where or how I could do something like that, we'd extremely appreciate that. I have dug around in the game files and I must be blind. I would love to increase the multiplier however I dont see one. Today im here to ask about increasing the actual dino exp from killing / crafting while mounted / just every day overall exp. We've tried taking them out killing things and we've noticed first off that only the killing dino gets the exp, and two even killing equal level or higher dodos, dilos, or turtles, they barely even raise in exp. We have our exp multiplier around 3x/4x and we level slightly faster than our dinos. Only problem is, they are all so under-levled compared to us. (No offense.) Being level 50, we've tamed quite a few dinos and made ourself a collection. (We increased overall game rates because we both work and we barely have enough time to play as it is, yet alone try to play with 1x rates. I have a non-dedicated open for my girlfriend and myself and we've been playing a lot lately. I've noticed just like us, dinos get exp for doing stuff throughout ark. Im here to ask about their passive / killing exp ratios. I know what your thinking when you read dino exp, but Im not here to ask about leveling my dino's up with commands or anything else i've read through a million times over.
